odd ball question
Hi all,
I plan to pick up my 76 F150 from my father in Washington and drive to Arizona. He's done a frame off restoration for me, and I want to keep the truck looking as good as it does now.
Aside from a good wax job, what can I do to the front end (grill, etc) to make it easier to get all the bugs off? Is there a product made that protects brushed aluminum (I think that's what the grill is made of)?
Thanks in advance!

There are a few options.....and in no particular order....
1. a good paint sealant......I use Profection Paint Sealant (P-73-Q) it brings up a high shine.….I also use this on all my chrome, stainless, etc…it not only shines it up like new but it is sealed from the elements as well……it works very nice on the poly carbonate headlamp lenses as well- cleaning up the lighter haze that happens over time.

2. Powder coat the items in clear....my polished aluminum pulleys on one of my "Toys" is done this way and after 20 years they still look great 7 easy to clean
3. Clear Bra- I have it & installed it on several of my vehicles- other companies make a similiar product......Basically, if you can do window tint, you can do this too. It is very, very durable with regards to damage protection, I can personally attest it is almost bullet proof in regards to protecting the paint and panels from damage and can be ordered in bulk rolls.
