Supsspensssnion with the hoses and stuff from waterpump install.

Apparently there is no easy solution for the 94 and early 95 models.

Unless somebody else has done it and knows what lower hose to use.

Man, its gotta be long.

I"m thinking i'm going to have to make one with 2 hoses and a metal pipe.

BTW, anyone have the part numbers for the T-stats for these things?

There's this thread (Post #17 has a parts list):

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ater-pump.html

Also, I was just reading some info on the IH water pump in the '99-03 forum. A member there, Nicmike (IIRC), did an install on his NBS truck and made a parts lists, too. He mentioned the differences be the OBS items needed and the NBS items he used. I'm looking for that thread again.

Here's the thread I mentioned:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...er-pump-2.html

It's a long read, but well worth the time. Nicmike's post (#44) is on page 2 of the thread.

I hope I'm not duplicating some links, but Glenn provided these:

I wish I had known about the 94/95 being different earlier on. Currently sitting on an international pump waiting for parts so I can convert to the newer cooling system. I debated about a week before deciding to buy all new parts but my plan for the IDI style radiator was to use the 5.9 lower hose that I had already bought then add another hose with opposing 90 bends to essentially move the lower port to the correct side.

The thermostat I am using is International PN 1845804C1 or you can use the 205 from a 94/early 95/

Craig, the parts lists for the lower rad hose dont' work on 94/95's
Different radiator.

From what I can tell, guys are making custom ones from some other forums i'm seeing. Which is what i'm going to have to do.
More work, at least not a big deal.

Yeah, I didn't think it would work on your truck, but I also figured if it needed to be customized for your application, you wouldn't have any trouble figuring out how to make it work.

I just wanted to provide all the links to things I had just read. Better to have too much information than not enough.

The parts list DOES work for many '95s. They changed to the degas bottle and no cap on the radiator fairly early in '95, I just haven't been able to pin down exactly when they did it. I've worked on trucks as early as May '95 that had the late model radiator in them. Basically, for anybody reading this... If you have a cap on your radiator, you're going to be cussing like William is now if you try to swap to the IH water pump. If you have a degas bottle and no cap on the radiator, the links provided above will help you swap to the IH water pump.

Wish you were closer William. I have a late model radiator, degas bottle, etc here from when I swapped my truck to the SD radiator. That sure would make it easier for you. LOL

I got a nice radiator in mine.
I like the old brass caps a lot vs the new degas bottle style.

doing what this guy did.

I got everything but something to use as couplers.

now if i can figure out what to use there i'd be good.
He used some really expensive alumimum parts. 20 dollars each on ebay.
I'd rather do something a bit cheaper than 20 dollars.

And the lower rad has a collapsing issue, not a blow apart issue, so i'm not as worried about pressure.
I"m just not sure if i can use steel.
Cause I can just put some steel tubing in there if thats the case.

if ya got my number and steel tubing is good.
Text me to tell me. gotta run to pick up the rest of the stuff at a different parts store. And then find some food with the 5 or so dollars i'll have left.

I don't know how long steel would last. If you could find something stainless steel or aluminum the right size would be good. Do you know exactly what size of tubing you would need? 2" o.d. maybe?

yeah, 2 inch.

I got about 20 dollars left to buy whatever i'm putting in there.
Then gotta figure out how to buy coolant for the truck.

Which ih ave no money for.

I might have to filter the stuff I drained out.

A piece of a stock up pipe would work. They are 2" and stainless.

Wait for that lower hose dealio you have different hoses clamped together with steeling tubing in the middle?!

I just bought a lower hose for the first gen cummins and it works with only a clamp on the pump and a clamp on the lower rad.
Shouldn't that work for you since you swapped to the newer radiator?
