Been following this build. Like everyone else has said you guys are doing an incredible job. I'm just curious if you've had the hood on? Now I know I'm just looking at pictures but I have played with the off set hood scoop a lot. In the pics it looks awful close to the cowl. At a bare minimum the back of the rubber ring needs to be 7" away from the cowl. Unless your going to cut in to the hood structure? And tighter to the air cleaner being the 460 air cleaner is a bigger diameter then the F600. Just going by the pictures. Don't want to sound like ____ just wandering.

We measured everything. Then measured it again. 78_F800Crewcab4x4 has installed the factory scoop on several other trucks and the rubber ring gasket sits about 7" away just like you had stated.

Dentside trucks (all of them) already have provisions for the hood scoop bolts within the hood structure itself. I will eventually show this.

Another good source for OEM fasteners is AMK Products in Winchester, VA.
For individual fastener packs check out their "bulk" section.
Restoration hardware - AMK Products Inc !

They are all over eBay. Might wanna search again. "5/16-18 dog point" get the zinc ones. And 5/16 "u nuts"

Just did a search and there were at least 5+ options for both the bolts and the u nuts.

Looked like you had short and long clips in the picture, is there a mix on these trucks, or was that more so you had options to what looks and functions for your likes?
Also, is there a common length or again, depends on application?

There's a mix. Depends on application. Use what works.
