Hi i am looking for a way to get a little more power out of my 7.3 i drive it everyday tow here and there but nothing massive. I have the edge evolution but after further research i found that it ups line pressure in the transmission electronically? Everything i read says to manually increase line pressure with a valve body. Which i plan to use the diesel site vale body. is what i am reading true? i notice a decent amount of these tuners or chips seems to increase transmission shift firmness which is done by increasing line pressure. correct?
Am i better off running the tow mode tune on my truck with my edge for that little extra power im looking for since i have read that is the only tune on my edge that doesnt increase line pressure. OR! should i sell this edge and go another route? a better tune? what do you guys recommend. Or do a boost fooler or something more simple? Looking for ideas and opinions. Thanks guys.

 

A boost fooler really won't do much with out other mods that will help you achieve a higher boost to start with. I've never heard of any one who runs only a programmer having any mechanical issues that are a result of just the programmer. They can be quirky though.

Intake and exhaust upgrades are a good start.
