I notice a couple of more problems with the truck today though I found out that all of my springs on my passenger side rear are cracked and need to be replace and I broke off an exhaust stud on the manifold.

About the springs does anybody know of any newer trucks or cars that you can get them out of or do you know of where I can get some for cheap. Please let me know.
Yes, there is a guy named Bob that lives near Germantown, WI that has several 48 to 50 ford trucks. He has a lot of parts. I am sure he will give you a great deal. He has been known to fixup other guys vehicles at no charge!

That's funny, I've lived in Germantown for over 26 years and have never met this other Bob guy. Abe if you have his phone number please send it to me. If I had a spare set of springs I'd give them to Andy but alas, I don't.

Good luck with the build, looke better than my starting point!
I have a good pair of stock 10 leaf rear springs from my 51 you can have for the cost of shipping, but they are some heavy suckers so may not be cheap from NY. If you cant find anything local PM me a full address and I can get a fedex quote. They will need new bushings and probably new clamp bolts, cant remember off the top of my head.

Wow - your carb had more trash inside it than mine. Don't forget to clean out the fuel tank, fuel pump bowl and flush the fuel lines. I would also add a fuel filter.

Suggest that you replace your rear springs with Posie's SuperSliders. Several of us have used them with good results.

Well the engine and the frame are painted and ready for the parts to start going on. I have all of the parts back on the engine and got it running again this Thursday. I am now going to work on the brakes and the steering. I will post pictures soon but I left my camera at our shop.
