Link on the tech section for cooling system flush is broken. Bro wants the flush today; been years for me. Does it matter which heater hose I tap into? I see one of the hoses has a temperature sensor with a switch; could I/should I just temporarily put the tee in there for the flush? Will the thermostat be open enough for this to even work? I see posts where you remove the lower hose, reverse the hoses, etc, but I just want the minimum effort here to get bro off my back. Thanks,
You realy need to pull the thermostat to get a a good flow. I really prefer to oull the bootom radiator hose and flush backwards from the bottom of the radiator.

wtroger - you're right, and I blantantly disregarded that good advice anyway...happy with the results, did get the thermostat open and garbage flushed out until clean water came out. In process, noticed CEL on...asked Bro - 'oh yeah, it comes on sometimes but I think it's low on gas'...DOH! Meantime, my Dad came out with his Ford OBDI scanner and with engine on, got codes 998 and 224. With KOEO, no codes. Don't have time right at the moment to chase this, but main reason for maintenance is in fact a Cal smog!!! So this will get addressed quite soon. Any info on those codes is appreciated,
