My trucks a 96 F250 powerstroke auto trans. I think the torque converter is acting up and the last 2 days the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts are extremely soft and just sliding into gear. I was told Racer X E40D ultimate kit with extra clutches is a good one to go with. Also what torque converter would be good? Shift kit?

 

Before you buy anything is the OD light blinking ?
Have you checked fluid level/condition ?
I'd get a gauge on the trans and check the line pressure.
Doesn't do you any good to put in new parts if your pressure is low

 

Level is perfect and dosent look bad. No OD light flashing. How do you check line pressure ? I have 148,000 miles. I believe the trans to be original
