Axle Swap

Im building a 86 f250 and want to upgrade to a sterling 10.5 from a 2001 superduty for the disk brakes. So my question is if anybody has done this and if so how easy of a swap is it? Is there a lot of fabrication, etc? Thanks for any help in advance.

I was going to ask the same question. Keep the 10.25 axle as they are nearly the same as the 10.5. Use the disc rear brake from the 10.5, but use the rotor from the Econoline E-250/350 equipped with a Dana 60. You would have to measure to see if they use the same size rotor. This will keep your wheels the same 8X6.5" as your front axle. The Super Duty uses a 170mm wheel which won't fit the front.
