I am in the process of cleaning up my truck and fixing issues. I decided to pull a set of injectors at the pick n pull and found a nice set of pintle style injectors that I rebuilt. Well, I just pulled the injectors on my truck and found it had four hole injectors. Can I use my rebuilt pintle style injectors or are they inferior? Will they work until I can rebuild the four hole ones?
I'm really not sure about that. They were off of a same year 1 ton quad cab. Exactly the same engine. I will assume they'll work and give them a shot. Is there any performance gain from the four hole ones?
All 5.8's came with yellow top 19lb/hr injectors, they say the 4-hole version atomizes fuel better than the pintle but the 4-hole are more prone to sticking open so you win some and you lose some.
