BigWins '56 F-100! You are voting for that beautifully restored truck sitting on the slideback (though, admittedly, the slideback is pretty sweet!)!

Ryansmith159's 1978 F100

The backstory:
Mine is no show truck by any means but cool back story, my dad knew the original owner of my truck from the north east yacht club and worked on his boats with him. My dad always love the truck and kept telling the owner he would buy it one day from him. I am now here with this truck and now the proud owner of the truck my dad wanted to but many moons ago. It has spend it's whole life in Cleveland, Mentor to be exact, and it's all numbers matching and only 59000 original miles on it with all ford documentation from it's whole life because the original owner would only take it to ford for all of the work.

Jon's 2002 F-250

The Backstory:

Its my first truck/vehicle. I got it back in December. Its a 2002 F250 XLT 4x4 CC SB white with tan cloth interior, 7.3 Powerstroke with over 270,000 miles on it, but still running strong. Its got WeatherTech floor liners, a Pioneer 700BT head unit, Kicker door speakers along with 2 subs, both with individual amps, Recon Smoked and LED cab lights, 3rd brake light, and interior lights, 05 grille with billet inserts, Westin bull bar, chrome trim, fender flares, 2-3 inch lift with 285/75R16 Duratracs on stock rims. It also has a 4in exhaust w/muffler, Glowshift gauges, Ts 6-pos chip, RiffRaff's 6637 intake, HPX, and the foil delete mod. Hope you guys like it.

And now some more recent ones with the new lights.

Runvs' 2002 F-250

Backstory: I had an '87 prior to this one for nine years when I was in an accident. That truck was in great shape but I decided it wasn't worth putting the money back into so I sold that on eBay to a guy in Michigan who came down and trailered it home with a Chevy. I still don't know if he made it, LOL!!

That started my search and I found this 2002 in Columbus at a Toyota dealership. After a few days of banter on the phone I drove down and fell in love with it and brought her home.

That was in 2003 and she had 6464 miles when I picked her up. Since then I have done a very long, slow build-up and when I began listing all the upgrades; it is a bigger list than I thought!!

2002 F-250 XLT 4x4 5.4L, supercab, longbed. Raceline wheels with Nitto Mud Grappler M/T tires, Powerslot Cryo rotors, Stainless brake lines, Stainless Gibson headers (in reality, the only upgrade I regret b/c the underhood noise is MUCH louder), custom stainless dual 2.5" exhaust with MBRP stainless tips. Pioneer DVD, custom 10" sub box behind seat (build is on FTE), stainless brush guard, brake control box, custom overhead console (build is on FTE), CB.

Overhead Console Build Thread

Back Rack, Remote start/alarm, jimmijammers, 3-gauge a-pillar pod with Water temp, Trans temp and Oil pressure gauges.

Many of you may remember that in August of 2011 this truck was stolen from the parking lot at my work. Insurance won't pay for 21 days. I filed the paperwork after 19 days for insurance to cut me a check and the next night I got a call from Cleveland PD that they found it.

She was on blocks, tires gone, tailgate, battery, step boards, brake control box, catalytic converter was cut out, etc. The bed was damaged and so was much of the sheetmetal (there's more). But insurance would not total it. By the time all was said and done insurance saved less than $600 from repairing the truck compared to what they would have paid me out.

Due to all of that, I ended up buying a 2009 bed and a 2010 tailgate with the rear step and camera. I then found a 2005 front end so I upgraded the grille, headlights and bumper!! That was a great upgrade and nearly a wash after I sold all the 2002 parts!!

I can't find a pic on this computer of when I first got it. I used to have one as my avatar on here but if I find it later I will add it!

Here is what she looked like the day I arrived at the impound (Sept. 2011)

Here are some more recent pics:

After 11 years of ridiculously dependable service, I am looking to let her go! We have needed a Crew Cab for a few years now...

OH boy!! I don't think we had any rules to determine the winner if we had a tie!! I don't want to determine on a coin toss. Let me think about this - maybe we do a 1-day poll between the leading trucks...

If anyone has an opinion for a solution otherwise, let me know! thanks!

well, if a baseball team comes back to tie it - they don't take the loss, lol! I last saw it at 2-1 so I wasn't sure how that went down.

I will be happy to put up another poll, it's no big deal.

That being said...if you choose to concede a loss, I will humbly accept the win - only because if things go right I won't have this truck long enough to enter it in any future TOTM contests!! I know your F-truck will take a future poll and it's one truck I don't mind losing to!

Ah, mutual respect - gotta love that!! OK, so a gentlemen's agreement places my truck as the winner for the May 2014 OC TOTM contest!!

Thanks to all who voted - anyone still think their vote doesn't count? We are getting a lot of views on this but the ratio of actual votes is pretty small. This is early - only our 2nd one and I hope that guys continue to put their trucks in so we can keep building on this!

The weather is finally nice (did we skip spring entirely?) so get out and get some great photos of those rigs so you can get them into the June TOTM submission thread!!

Big Blue (No, I do not call it that, my son does, LOL) humbly accepts the victory, thanks!!
