American Pickers

So I caught last nights episode of American Pickers. The new episode last night the guys bought a new 15 Transit Van. Can't wait to see how works it out for them. Let's here your thoughts.

I read that this morning. I hope the 3.2L lives up to expectation and I hope we get some feedback.

My wife and I watched American Pickers that we recorded and saw the end where Mike took delivery. I too am curious as too how well their Transit does. I couldn't help but notice how obvious that Ford played a big hand in the advertising in that episode.

Is the 3.2 a Diesel? if so is it Ford-Built? I think Ford has become a sponsor of AP and provided the Transit to them.

3.2L Power Stroke Specs

At the very bottom of the write-up it states that the engine is built at a Ford plant in South Africa.

Still waiting to see one in person. I want a wagon model with 8-12 seats to replace my E350 in a couple years.

As mentioned, its Ford built. It has been in the previous model Transit, and the current model Ranger sold elsewhere for a number of years.

It seems to have been pretty reliable, but I'm not sure what emissions equipment it will come with on the Transit delivered to the US. I know in Australia none have had Urea injection, and only a few models have DPF. I expect the US will require both of those.
