Short term will be to put a new taillight in it, register it, clean it up a bit, and drive it around and make sure nothing is worn out.

Then I'll be redoing the whole interior.

Nice Find

I like your van. Looks like a great one to make into whatever you want it to be. What motor? Good luck with your new find.,,,jack

Pretty sweet, I'd love to have that with a 300. Not any left in Michigan!

Here is one more of when I took off the dog house. All I've got on my phone right now but when I get home I'll snap a couple more. It really needs a bath!

Oh wow that is beautiful! I really like the collapsible top. Does yours have an RV VIN or a regular one? I was looking at insurance quotes this weekend and found that mine is a special VIN code for an RV and doesn't just plug into my policy for passenger vehicles.

I'm pretty sure it has a regular VIN. Conversion was done 3 years after it was first sold. It's similar to a VW (sportsmobile used to do the VW's before Westfalia) I'll find out when I insure it later this week.

You're going to really dig that 300 I6, they're torquie, reliable and downright easy to work on compared to the V8's (especially the ones with the 460). I had the three on the tree on my '66 econoline but for the last couple of decades I've had 'Easy Bake' an '81 with running gear very similar to yours save for the RUG/RAB 3+1 overdrive transmission in mine.
If you have any issue with hard starting or engine pinging let me know, for as long as I've had 'Easy Bake' by now I know a thing or two about these '81's

Nice -- can't take credit for that one! The only photos I have on Photobucket are from the seller's driveway....

Mine has the 302 Windsor and an OD automatic, I assume the E4OD. The main issue with it is some rust on the frame, which I am expecting I'll have to throw some money at before I have the springs redone. It runs great, but doesn't drive so good. Wish us luck!
