A Cali truck with no rust in Illinois is not far off from 4k. I missed the parts about not much rust and engine don't run. My bad. You guys are prolly right on your estimates. Mine was a cali truck with no rust and a good running engine and I gave 5 k for it. Maybe I'm just an idiot. Keep in mind my username.

Its really only worth what you can get someone to pay for it. How long are you willing to wait for that someone.

I was trying to buy but it fell through... Story below... BUT! If anyone here in Cali wants a 1959 F250 I have one for sale. 429 or 460 with a C6. Stock column. Newer power bench seat. No tailgate. Has a cracked windshield and pass window. But other then that the body is really straight and ill be removing the surface rust and priming the truck.
The guy is being stubborn. Found a bunch of rust under the carpet and floor mats and the headliner is filler with rat shiz and it looks like there is bondo under it and the guy refuses to budge because the NADA guides say its work 10k in his opinion.....
So get this one. He tells me he has no idea what the model is and that he isn't a ford guy and has never been into old cars but just wanted a classic truck so he ended up falling into this one in a trade because someone couldn't pay him for something. SO he gets the truck and wife says it needs to go so he posts it online and I find it. He cant answer anything about the truck once I get there. I tell him every detail about it and find out that the motor is seized and that its not the original tranny and its supposed to be a custom cab but someone bondo'd over everything and filled in the holes etc... so I went home to think about it. I decide it needs a good home someday so ill offer $2300 but I need a few weeks to get him full payment because some idiot hacked my paypal and drained my checking account.... He then proceeds to say he has all these buyers coming to look and says he knows these trucks and its really worth 8-10k the way it sits and blah blah blah. Obviously the pause in the text meant he started reading some BS online and then he says the NADA guides don't lie so I want 3500 right now today because it has to be gone by Tuesday... Im like heck no. You cant just raise the price on me and tell me you know everything all of a sudden because you spent a half hour online and read the nada guide. It has 3 layers of paint and bondo. There is no way and I cant just pull money out of thin air after the paypal incident. So I said no thanks.... I then get a call an hour later from a guy I met a week ago who has a 1960 f100 short bed and says when the day comes and im ready for another project he will sell it to me for $3000. And it really is a almost rust free original that he had some body and paint work done too. So I will be finishing my current projects this year and then maybe next year ill buy a short bed In the meantime I might do a CV suspension swap for the guy.lol
