I have purchased several items from LMC without issue. The greatest problem I had was with the rear cab corner patch panels taking some tweaking to fit properly but I understand that is often an issue no matter where you buy the parts from. Of course what I like best about them is they are local to me....about a 35 minute drive....so I can inspect the part before buying and do not have to pay shipping. Not to mention there is a really good BBQ place...Oklahoma Joe's....not far away. I plan on heading down to LMC Saturday to get a couple of parts and of course stop off for some BBQ while I am in the area. Truck parts and good BBQ....life doesn't get any better.

I purchased some stuff from LMC but also bought from most of the resellers, MACS, Carpenter, Mid fifty and Classic Haulers. I really prefer buying from the Gals at Classic Haulers. they know the 49-52 trucks better than most and you get free Tootsie Rolls. I think one of the big things to watch is shipping costs. Most of the suppliers will have free shipping sales from time to time, use that to your advantage and beware of sales that make up the difference in shipping costs.

Oklahoma Joe's does have some awesome BBQ! So far I've heard a mixed bag of replies concerning LMC as well as most other places. I'd say that saving on the cost of shipping is going to be my biggest factor when it comes to larger items and when I go to pick it up I can always say no if it looks like crap.
Thanks for all the input folks!

I have not purchased from LMC but I hated dealing with their sister company, Victoria British, because they are strictly a mail order company with absolutely no knowledge of what they are selling.

Another factor that comes into play here is sales tax. I like Classic Haulers for various reasons, but they are located about an hour and a half away from me in my home state. Therefore, I must add 7 percent for tax to every order. If another vendor is running a special on shipping, it is sometimes less expensive to buy the same part at a few dollars higher advertised price from that vendor. I try to be loyal when I can, but in the end, we're all trying to stretch our project bucks as far as we can.

I've ordered a lot of items from LMC, they usually have my shipment to Nebraska within the week. I can't complain about quality, they have a few items that aren't available. I have ordered glass and gaskets which all were good quality. Have no complaints, usually the best price, but just have to compare to others.

Found something interesting today with some parts I got from LMC, under the sticker was another sticker with Mid Fifty Parts on it. They didn't fit so good either so much for made in America, lol
