windshield wiper linkage noise

Can anyone give me a diagram of the windshield wiper linkage under the dash? Mine is making a TON of noise. I've read that its either a nut or clip that's working itself loose. Just wanna know roughly where I should be looking for the dang thing up there (I'd look now but its raining and cold and dark outside).

Not sure if it matters but my truck is a 78 with standard (no delay feature) wipers.

If they both still work, the clip is probably still good and in place. I'll bet it's one of the two mounting plates (left or right side) that could be cracked....#17567 or #17A475. Pull the glove box for a better view of the right one.
