I'm having a bit of trouble.

1. My truck starts a little slow. It has plenty of battery power but it's like the starter is having trouble turning over the engine. The problem is exacerbated when I shut if off and start it a couple times in semi-rapid succession. Is this trouble with the starter solenoid? or the starter itself? I'm pretty new when it comes to all this but I'm interested in learning and want to try to fix it myself.

2. The truck is also starving off the rear tank and left me stranded yesterday as the front tank was empty and the truck wouldn't stay alive on the back tank (which was full). it had no power when it was moving and I couldn't keep it moving it was like the engine was flooding and then starving and then flooding and then starving. I suspect that the back tank has a bad fuel pump but I don't know if there are two independent fuel pumps, one in each tank, or just one that runs them both.

my haynes manual is in the mail so I should have it in the next week or two.
