Well Howdy Explorer guys and gals. Usually I hang out in the Bronco II, Super duty, 87-96 Fseries, 80-86 Fseries, and expedition part of the forum but last night we brought home yet another vehicle.
Truck is a 94 Explorer 4x4 4.0L V6 XLT 4 door with immaculate body and interior. All the truck really needs that I know of right now is a good cleaning, different wheels and tires (tires are bald) and the engine pulled from the donor truck and dropped into it. The engine in it is seized but it came with a 92 Ranger 4x4 4.0L V6 for a donor truck that runs and drives.

For now I will be driving it until I can get my F150 going but if I like it I may just keep driving it daily as it will probably get better fuel mileage then my 88 F150. I am hoping to keep it as straight as possible but it will see some trails, some mudding, and some backroads almost everyday.

I am looking forward to learning about these little trucks.

We have a 98 Merc Mountianeer with a 4.0 SOHC, 233K never really been touch aside from a starter, thermostat, alternator/battery. Usual wear items.

Motor just goes and goes.

That is good to know thanks Senix because the rest of the explorer has 220K miles which slightly worried me but I figured I am throwing a 130K mile ranger engine it I should be fine plus I will have extra parts to fix it.
I can't believe how comfortable the seats are in this explorer.

And by the way when I get the chance I will post pics of the Explorer.

I did my front hubs at 173K. The fuel fill spout is another weak point. They seem to rust. Being in Arizona...snow area if they don't use a lot of salt you are probably ok.
