1978 Ford F150 4x4. 351m. C6. NP205.

(NOTE): Truck is in Colorado. PO removed VIN on door jam. This is not a problem in CO (Clean Colorado title). But might be a problem if your state requires a VIN check.

This truck is completely and 100% rust free!! (look at the pictures). A genuine survivor, this F150 has some original equipment while also being a nicely restored off-road capable with an added lift. It is a short bed truck, with a 6" skyjacker lift. The steering box mount on the frame has been strengthened with a steel plate to accommodate 37" Goodyear tires. The lights on the roll bar are KC retro offroad lights and work great.

This F150 has a strong 351 modified motor mated to a C6 automatic transmission. Power is delivered to a high pinion Dana 44 front axle and a Ford 9" rear axle. 3.50 gears give this truck excellent mpg (12 highway). Do not expect this truck to be fast off the line, it will need re-gearing if you plan to use it as a dedicated crawler.

Truck does not burn oil to my knowledge and has been reliable. It does drive like a 78 ford with a big lift. I would not recommend going over 65 on the highway. The body is not perfect. Relatively straight (pictures) but does have small dents and dings.

What it needs:
Rear trim over wheel wells. Cannot get this to seat flush with the body. I considered drilling them and screwing...but thought the next owner could do that or fix it properly.
It could probably use new shocks.
I have a spare tire but no rim for the spare. Requires 16.5 rim with 5x5.5 bolt pattern.
The bumpers have surface rust (considered getting these bed-lined)
Stereo is pretty poor but works CD/Aux.
Glass pack dual exhaust w/ no cats. Will not pass emissions, but does have the EGR correctly hooked up.
