ride quality suggestions
hey guys, i need some input on ride qulaity on my 2000 f250. its a reg cab long bed with add a leafs front and rear 3 inch mini packs up front and 1 ton springs in the rear. the shocks say rancho but i read after searching on here that the stock shocks say rancho. i know i can get the pro comp springs and they ride great blah blah blah but if im gonna do a spring swap its gonna be for some 6 inch skyjackers. i drove the truck down to seattle from the rock this weekend and now i need a chiropractor... it got so bad that when i hit an older patch of highway i thought i had a flat tire. now i know a decent ride is possible my buddy had a 96 250 with a windsor and it floated down the road. mine on the other hand is great on a fresh road but hit a bump and your head hits the roof. im running 305/65 r17s and they are brand new BFG KM2s, i know i need shocks but most of the rancho 9000 threads are for 08 and up, not the old bricks. . it will soon have some 35s or 37s but i would like to be able to take a girl out without shaking her to death.... kind of a mood killer. i dont tow anything and the heaviest thing i haul is dead deer.

Your suspension is complicated. Did you say add a leaf up front? Ouch.
Simplify the suspension. Do you need extra lisd capacity for something or just want a lifted truck? Add a leafs are going to give you the lift but at the expense of ride quality.
Other than comfort what are your needs and goals?
Check to see if your shocks are bad. Then consider a simple spring lift to give you the lift you want. Skyjacker isn't exactly known for ride quality.

psi is 45 and im in the navy so i dont pull a trailer or haul heavy stuff i bought the truck because i got a deal, and who would turn down a straight axle? i didnt put the add a leafs on it either. the truck is mainly gonna be pulling girls, not trailers. it spends alot of time in the woods also, i dont mud the truck i baby it. but i hunt alot. and it is like riding in a brick, no bounce.

Well, the extra springs are your likely culprit, not the shocks. Unless your choice of female cargo is expected to push the weight limit of the truck, you may consider removing the spring 'upgrade'.
I am stock suspension, and my ride can be a little coarse when empty. My wife has pointed out that a little weight in the bed makes a big difference. My motorcycle weighs just over 800 lbs, and having it in the bed smooths the ride out some.
Your truck was built to haul big girls.

You can look for progressive rate springs that have a quite low rate until they bend a bit, then get stiffer to keep a decent load capacity. You can put springs designed for F250 back on. It just sounds like someone had a "if a little is good a lot will be great and too much will be just barely enough" mentality when they threw that suspension at your truck and screwed it up.
