Hey guys,

I just purchased a set of these -

BF Goodrich Tires Part 02818 - LT275/65R18, All-Terrain T/A KO - - 4 Wheel Parts

Going on my 2008 F150 4x4. Anyone have any experience with these on their truck? Price is right for $869 shipped, then $50 mail in rebate brings it down to $819. Thoughts?

Those are good tires. Rotate them every oil change and they will last a long time.

 

You should have looked at the BFG LT275/70R18 all terrain T/A as they were $10 cheaper. No idea why but you would have had a little larger tire plus $40 more in your pocket.

Great tires though.

 

Thanks for the suggestion. I am a bit ignorant as tires go. I didn't know that size would fit. I just went off what size was currently on my truck.

I can't wait get these under my truck to see how they ride. I plan to rotate them at every oil change.

 

It's all good. The 275/70r18 is just an inch taller (basically a 33"). The 275 is the width and the 70 is a percentage of that for sidewall height. I just don't understand how a little bigger tire cost less.

It costs less cause its a more popular size tire in relation to the rim size, tires on my truck are a lil more expensive, 315/70/17 I've thought about dropping to 285's but with the stance of the truck, wouldn't look very good

 

BFG AT/KO are great tires for rough terrain and rocky areas (3 ply sidewalls). I don't need the extra protection anymore though, and have switched to "normal" AT tires. In central TX with all the flint off road, I carried an extra spare too... Too many punctures to not have two spares.

 

I hear ya, I need to get 5 when I get tires so I have a proper size spare, most time I'm not too worried about it but got a lot of pot holes around tulsa area
