Maybe. Lacking info for sure. If I had it I would drive the wheels off and the
heck as to weather it has the correct this or the right that.

But damn sure not for no 50k. I can buy a low mileage '70's model
Rolls Royce for 6 to 10k.
He is using false information in order to justify the high price = Rip off, Bunco scheme, False advertising, lots of names for what he is doing - If he is going that far to rip someone off what about the quality of the work? - Is it a Bondo baby, a resto rust pile, Chinese bolt bucket?
The ad begs questions to be asked

I have a 59A 221 cube block from 48 in my garage. However it was a replacement block made during the war for an earlier 221 cube. It came out of a 40 Ford pickup.

From what I can find, the 221 CID was actually built through 1942. Anyway, it is interesting how and why he lists the engine as 221 CID and original. My guess, he does not know what he has.
A very poor ad for a high dollar vehicle. The one picture shows the truck as very nice, IMO.

Very nice but you can see the sagging door handle and to me it looks like the back of the bed is too low. Just a glance.

Thanks Wayne.

It's a beautiful truck and I'd love to have it............but It strikes me as being over restored. Many things added that would not be there from the factory. I suppose some could be options. The work looks first class, but not everything is Concourse correct.....
Just my opinion though.

I'm not seeing a turn signal switch on the column? But it has the accessory flashlight mounted there. Disappointing that there are no chassis shots, but I have to agree, it has been done to a high standard, even using the correct hose clamps and such. And yes, Scott, overdone, but probably in a way many high-end buyers like.

BTW, it has an 8BA in it, some might say that ain't right, should be an 8RT...

I'm not sure white walls qualify it as "correctly restored". And isn't that a red V-8 under the hood not a 6 cyl? Makes me wonder about other mistakes.

On the other hand I hope that he gets what he is asking. That just helps the value of ours.

Did the trucks come with signals in "48? Or was it an ad on dealer thing?

They were add-on, but I can't say I've ever seen a truck (especially one with two taillights) that didn't have it. I wouldn't want to drive one without.

Pete, by the serial #, it came with a V8.

These types of sales wouldn't be bother me so much but what gets to me is when they put a bunch of BS in their ads about how the truck was restored to the highest standards and to stock when there are blatant flaws. This truck is really nice but for $40K there should not be one thing wrong with it. The add ons, to me, are OK, just as long as the rest of the truck is done correctly. The one on eBay a few weeks ago that was a Frankenstein truck and the seller was so cocky about it. It was a mess but his description made it sound like it was flawless. That seller really didn't know anything about the truck.
