4R100 Transmission Rebuild Houston,TX

I'm looking for suggestions on good transmission shops in and around Houston Texas. I am having some sliping issues on my 2002 7 .3 diesel transmission. I purchased the truck 3 years ago with 277,000 miles and have had the transmission serviced every 30,000 miles. it currently has 387000 miles. I don't know how the previous owner treated it and if and when it had been replaced or rebuilt before me.

You need to be over on the Superduty forum. You'll get better answers over there.

I accidentally posted this in the wrong forum because I posted it on my phone and I pressed the wrong button. Sorry about that

No engine codes, it has a slight slip when starting off from a dead stop, more noticable in reverse, and a few times the truck has tried to stall when I slow down just before i come to a complete stop. It died once today while slowing down at around 2mph and another time tried to keep moving when I had the brake applied. Other than that it runs good on the highway.

Fluid is OK, I'm sure you checked that! Did you change the filter? Did you get the old gasket out of the mounting hole? If not, the filter you put in might have fallen out and your having trouble picking up oil by the pump.

The fluid seemed a little low and I added some this afternoon. I plan in having it changed tomorrow and the inline one hasn't been changed since I owned it. At least 120-150,000. I have changed the fluid and filter every 30 k though.
