I have an off the wall question. what is the voltage suppose to be? I just bought a new battery and I tested it and it is showing 13.5 volts, when I hook it up in the truck I get a reading of 18.5 to 19.5 volts, why is this and how is it? I also tested obd II scanning port the bottom right pin the power pin cause I am unable to get a scanner to connect to vehicle, and it also gave me a reading of 19.5 volts. how is this and is it correct? thank you and any all input is so much appreciated.

 

If you have voltage this high with the motor running the regulator is faulty allowing the alternator to run wide open.
This also boils the battery.
If you show voltage that high with the motor off, your voltmeter is out to lunch.
5 threads going at the same time???????????

 

ill recheck it today, didn't know there was a limit on amount of threads to run. have a few issues that I had questions to.
