header-steering clearances with a 460 and a MII
here you go Steve,
took some pics last nite and made some measurements...
from center of column end to frame rail is 4"
from end of column end forward to closest header tube is 5"
from center of column end to closest edge of head is 4"
from center of column end to closest head bolt is 3"
column protrudes 5"from firewall
end of column to end of stud on steering box is 14½" straight line but will require a center bushing and universals to clear headers and exhaust..
hope that helps
john

Ya I was freakin out a little when I asked because it appeared my column was gonna hit the header but I realized that it's pretty close to the frame. At the same time I noticed that the clutch pedal is on the outside of the frame...hehe
It's been awhile since I've been under it.
