Eastern Oregon Trucks

I just finished a trip in very rural Oregon.

Along the way I saw two trucks that I wanted to post pictures of because I have seen you guys talking about them and some of you working on them.

Can't post pics for some reason but here's what I saw:

2 ton Flatbead - 53 to 56 (not sure of year). Truck was for sale and from the road looked good but not restored.

2 ton (?) guessing in the 49 to 52 range. Not posted for sale but I know the man that owns it and almost certain he would sell it.

So, if anyone is interested based on this very brief description let me know and I will send you a PM

Need 1953/56 parts?

Google Earth: 129 Kelsey Avenue - Gibbon NE

The building at the corner was originally the Ford dealership.

Could we see some pictures? Here is how.

But I got ta say becoming a supporter is the fastest and easiest way to post pics right from
your whatever pad/cell thing or home computer.
Few of us look in the users Gallery or album as you can see by your recent visitors.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
The best photos and videos | Photobucket

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.

Here's a tutorial Bob put together: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/67...-pictures.html Bob's link is not working. Can someone in the know tell me why?

Thanks for the info. I am a supporter and have not had a problem posting but took the pics with my phone and had a problem with it as it wouldn't do anything but videos. When I converted the pics to stills and tried to email them to my computer for posting here it just won't work.

The secret is safe with us on one of them since I can't post the pic. I get over 'that way" a lot so maybe someday you will expose your paradise and I'll swing by for a visit.

We're having our annual GTG May 31/June1 at my shop. I invited Wa state chapter members too. There is a thread in your chapter. Come on down!

I have been watching that one for several years (I drive by every couple of months) waiting to see if someone is going to do something with it.

If you went up to the viewpoint near that (a little west I believe) there was an F2 and I think another couple right on the road.

This one is right on the West end of Dayville. I didn't see any other trucks close to there but did see the other truck for sale by Sumpter. What series are the 2 ton size that look so much like the 53-56 F100? That is the type that is for sale. I still can't post that pic.
