70 F100 4x2 oil pan

I will be installing my 351W in my truck soon, but I am not sure about the oil pan. I have a nice Kevko front sump pan, but I think I will need a rear sump pan. What would be a good pan to use?

I am assuming you want a front sump pan since you have a 4X2. 4X4's usually needed the rear sump. I personally have a used pan, dipstick, and tube off a 1976 Torino Elite 351W. If you're interested in a car 5 quart pan PM me. Or you can go with the ol' Econoline mid-sump pan. Also used in early 80's pickups.

Any front sump is fine as long as it is not DEEP! Anything more then stock will not clear the crossmember.

Here are a few pics of the pan. It is 7" deep, but has a larger than stock sump area.

Like where the oil come out. Doesn't drain all over crossmember and drag link.

The extra-capacity T-pan has what are commonly referred to as "kick-outs".

I originally purchased this pan for my 66 Mustang, but got an offer for the car I could not refuse. I have a front sump 302 pan I can take measurements from and compare to the Kevko. If anyone could post a pic of their small block in their truck showing the cross member and pan clearance that would help a lot. Thanks

All 1975/91 I-6 & V8 Econolines have a rear sump pan, 1975 was the first year Econolines came with 351W's.

351W's first installed in misc 1969 Ford/Merc Passenger Cars, 1981 F150/350 & Bronco.

302's and 351W's take a different pan. The mounting surface is different.

The 302 pan is smaller in the main bearing and a little deeper in the sump compared to the 351 pan. I think the pan will fit now that I see the differences.

Those kick outs will be the issue. Anything larger then stock will not likely fit.
