Progress Update actually 1 year to the day!

So poking around the web looking for ideas and parts for my build I checked in here and realized it was actually a year ago today that I uploaded some progress pics.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...0-build-d.html

Build is moving along and truck should be ready within the next 2 months in time for spring.

I'm at the point now where I am looking at interior ideas and narrowing down what exactly it is I want in terms of design and styling, seat configurations and who to do it.

Hoping for some form of drivers bucket seat with a 1/2 bench of some sort.
I want the truck to seat 3 but I want a separate seat as to adjust height and tilt based on how my prosthetic legs are fitting at any point during a cruise or trip.
I have yet to see that configuration so maybe I'll be the first?

Last update showed the step marked out for cutting to accommodate the exhaust tip.

Truck was fully assembled and mocked up and then disassembled for body work and paint.

I suppose a lot of progress over the last year has been made.

Cab is painted in Toreador red which the posted pics don't do any justice.
Going to be very close to the red I had hoped to capture.
Once the truck is fully painted and assembled wet sand and polish the heck out of her to get that real wet look!

Looking awesome. I'm liking that color. The shaved drip edge made me look twice.

Awesome, very motivating. The red color really stands out. Looks like some pearl in it. What wheels did you end up going with?

The seating you are looking for is called a split bench. My 94 Taurus XL had that type seating.

Hey McMatty,
Nice color! I also like your Truck Project List posted on the wall - keep crossing them off... Seeing you make serious progress with piles of snow all over the place up there makes me feel lazy down here in the South.

Looking good in Canada!

Went with the Budnik's. Were called "Spark" but when I clicked on the bookmark they appear to have been renamed since last year.
Now called "Chisel-6" from their 6 lug series.
Budnik Wheels - Driver Series - Chisel-6

I have checked out the split bench seats but I am a little concerned that most seem to have the middle seat attached to the drivers seat and not the passenger seat.
Like I mentioned before, depending on my constant changing comfort level with prosthetic legs, I need to tilt the seat up and down to relief pressure on the back of my leg as well as the overall ride height at times. I wouldn't want the middle seat attached to the drivers seat and risk interfering with a floor console if I move my seat up and on the odd occasion there are 3 people in the truck.

The list on the side of the truck is a photo from the builder quite a while back.
I'm merely the trucks owner with the vision and they are the ones with the talent and skill set. Gotta give the credit where it's due!

As for paint, I was trying to get as close as possible to the Candy Apple red used on a Limited edition (30 made) Custom Fender Stratocaster that I can't track down.
That's partly where the idea to use birds eye maple for the bed wood came from. The guitar had a maple fretboard and looks so good with the red.

If you guys know of anyone who puts out show car quality interiors in Ontario Canada, I would greatly appreciate names, websites, images, etc…

Currently waiting to hear back from one outfit who build something similar to mine and it was a 2013 winner.

I don’t know why this comment was posted here. Never even clicked on this thread. Truck isn’t even lifted.
