ANDERSON HITCH
Here's the installed Anderson Ultimate Hitch I said I was installing. The weather was just so nice today, I just HAD to do something outside.
Lost about 50 pounds of weight and it is really great to be able to hook up and unhook in my uneven driveway. Also I can open/close the Peragon sliding cover without removing any part of the hitch like I had to do with the Reese.

BTW, the only real concern I had in using this was the probability of the hitch "bouncing" off the ball. While I had it hooked to the 5er (and the locking cable in the lock position) I used the "extend" button on the front jacks until the motor really groaned trying to lift the trailer off the hitch and it just wouldn't budge! As much pressure as I put on it I am now convinced that the trailer will not lift off while in motion. I almost lifted the rear of the truck!

Wife has gotta get back to feeling better.... she had hip replacement surgery on the 3rd of this month. She walking, but still using the cane. She should be ready come April and good weather! I have an appt Friday to see if I can have done to my right shoulder what she had done to her hips......if I can, I gotta figure out when I wanna do it...or how long recovery time is. If it's about 6 weeks, I'll do it now...if much longer, it'll wait until after camping season.

Easier with the Anderson than with the Reese. My Ford won't lock the RV brakes unless you pull the Break-Away cable...... Only have to reach over and lock the hitch (one foot from Landing gear switch) then raise the landing gear..... altho now I KNOW it locks it, I just lock and go once LG is raised to row height.
