I am swapping out the closed knuckle HD front axle in my '75 F250 for one from a '76. Anything I need to know to do this? What needs to be changed for the brake lines? I am also going to install rear disks, so do I need to do anything about a proportioning valve?

 

basic stuff same gear ratio as rear,adjustable prop valve if going with rear disk swap,I did the same thing with my seventy five.I put in a 78/79,any problems post back

 

Thanks! Can you tell me if the brake line brackets on the frame, and brake lines from the master cylinder, need to be changed? I did not get them with this axle.

What rear disks did you go with?

I am currently running 4:56 gearing, so as I rebuild this axle I plan to swap those gears in.
