Mating a toploader to a windsor

Can it be done? Here's what I'm wondering about: 1991 Lincoln MKVII LSC 5.0 engine into a 1963 Ford F-100 with a 3.03 toploader? I thought there were toploaders behind windsors but I'm having a hard time finding info on the correct shaft size, bll housing, etc.

Millions served. My '65 Mustang 289 had a 303 behind it.

You will have to have the flywheel with the correct balance, and match up a clutch.

Good trans, but it is a non-od 3 speed, and your motor has/had an OD automatic, didn't it?

I can't find the input shaft length. I would say I think they are all the same, but I do not know that for sure.

There were tons of trucks with this trans, so a bell should not be impossible to find.

The block you have probably does not have the threaded hole for the clutch z-bar, so you'll have to figure that out.

Stand by, you may get another response.

Your trans does have a recatangular pattern to bolt to the bell, right? Not square--square is bad....

Ha! I guess I strike out. The toploader is in my 1963 F-100 (C3AR 7006-E) with the 5 bolt bellhousing and very-much-more-like-square, transmission casing. Digging around, it looks like it could be a direct bolt up to a Y-block or a maybe even pre-1965 windsor (289) that had a 5 bolt setup. Back to the interwebs to find a way to get my truck back on the road.

You'll need to change both the bell and the transmission then to something newer.
