2-inch Body Lift Recommendation
Hey guys. I have a 1990 F250 4x4. I want to purchase a good 2 inch body lift for the truck. Initially I looked at one that Summit Racing offered, but it requires some cutting and welding. I'm comfortable with the cutting, but not so comfortable with the welding. I'm sure other kits exists that do no require such. I'm aware of the 2 inch body lift limit that's a result of the driver's side head hitting. Also, I will be doing a suspension lift as well, but I plan to do a solid axle swap (Dana 60) before I do that.
Any suggestions regarding a good 2 inch body lift?

I agree, i would only run a body lift as a sheer necessity, for instance my 79 i had to use a 2" body lift to get the super cab to sit on the single cab frame. In my ranger i had to use a 1" to clear the 5.0 valve covers.

I'll echo the replies so far. I'm not a fan of body lifts either. I've installed a few for customers over the years but I would never put one on my own truck. Too crude for my liking. Do yourself and your truck a favor, save up for a good suspension lift. You'll be a lot happier in the long run.
