Actually sanderson does not offer a 351/400 specific header for a Bronco. They do offer a "Big Block" Bronco header I assume is for 429/460 swap.

Thanks guys for all the info. I need to decide to go stock or 4 bbl. and headers. Truck currently makes 10 to 12 mpg,so do not know if changing will gain any mileage. Understand more h.p. with headers, manifold and carb upgrades is what most say are the gains. What if just changing to a 460 gives me the hp gains and power. Some say mpg is just as good or better with a 460 upgrade(if you drive decent and not your foot through it) I would like more horses as I will occassionally pull a 5000 pound camper,so why not a 460 with a 4 bbl, rather than the above mentioned changes to my 400? Just wondering......

valid point about the 400 vs. 460. i was undecided about 390 vs. 460. i have roughly (3) 390's in various conditions and (1) 460.

it was a matter of cost ($$$) per horsepower for my application: mudtruck. i ended up stayed with the fe. for nothing more than the sound, honestly. i love the fe soundtrack, music to my ears. i'll never own a 428 ac cobra. but i try to hum the melody in my highboy pretending im in the mudbog le mans

If you keep stock cam and upgrade intake/carb and free flowing exhaust piping, I don't see lack of headers making a huge difference. May even help you keep a little mpg.

460 is a good motor, but bigger cubes always have higher pumping losses at cruise and loose mpg. I'd say it depends on your goals, what is the right way to go forward.

Headers are nothing but a PITA. Unless you're racing and looking for every last ounce of horsepower it's not worth it, and bragging rights only go so far. I'd run a good set of 2 to 2 1/2 pipes off of the manifolds and glass packs. It's so much simpler it's ridiculous.
