Question here . I have a 2014 f250 and was looking at a brake controller and a oem in dash controller that goes beside the uplifted switches are around 250 bucks my question is if I get one of the aftermarket ones from u haul or wherever will it work with the truck being all the new electronics and sensors in these trucks

I suggest that you get the OEM unit.
I added an AM unit in the Ranger I had and it worked very well. However, it was awkward to see and use.
I had an OEM added in the 2011 F150 I had and it was easy to use and see.
I ordered my truck with the controller this time. Easy to use, see and it works very well.

The oem one will apply trailer brakes faster than you can manually apply the brakes when you get hit by a big gust of wind and get out of control.
I had this happen with my 2010 f150 and the truck applied the tt brakes faster then I could grab them and I was ready for the gust when I hit the clearing and was only doing 50mph, when 60+ mph cross winds jackknifed me, tt brakes pulled me straight. Had this happed a couple times that trip and would never been able to stay on the road otherwise, would have lost 2 days travel waiting for the winds to slow. I also had traction control, I don't think aftermarket break controlers will work this way.
