Can anybody tell me if the fuel line fittings on the rear tank are the same On the front tank? I am having a tough time trying to get the fuel lines disconnected. I cannot see the fuel lines but they seem like the same as the front ones and they are not coming off...

They should be pretty much the same front to back. But when I did the rear tank on my '97 last fall I was able to get one of the lines pretty easily, but not the other. I ended up getting a different line removal tool and it went much easier. The new one was theoretically the same size, but it was at least longer, and I think it was slightly smaller in diameter as well. Cheap tools with wide tolerances I guess. I don't know why one of the lines was so much easier than the other.

Well I am waving the white flag on the rear tank... luckily I found a ASE Master Mechanic that loves F series trucks and owns a few that will help me out. I have dropped the tank down as far as possible, I cannot get the lines disconnected with my quick disconnect tool and the limited amount of room to work. To make matters worse I am working around a receiver hitch which I am going to just remove...

Yeah, I had to remove my receiver hitch before I could get anywhere with my rear tank too.
