I've got about 60,000 tuned with a Spartan running the 210 HP tow tune. I like the tranny shift strategy, and it has a little quicker git up go when unloaded. I use this tune as a daily driver and have hauled 16-17K all up and down the eastern seaboard from Florida to northern Maine. In short, everything you're not "supposed' to do with a bigger HP tune. My contention is watch the temps, watch the boost, and don't do anything stupid with your right foot and it shouldn't matter all that much what tune you are running.
I'm sure that with that tune, and my load, I could bury that boost gauge and drive temps to truly stupid levels, but I don't.
I have no interest in "rollin coal", no desire to win any races, and for sure would rather avoid any bills related to skinny pedal shenanigans.

I run the level 3 on the SCT which is +120hp I believe. Even at that I watch what I do with the pedal as I can easily hit 40 on the boost. I know its the stock gauge but just feel like it should be better to stay under that. I do plan to keep this truck for a long time so thinking of spending the $$ and getting the head bolts done.

I run the H&S highest level with no power, all the power I will ever need, at this moment in time my truck probably hasn't seen over 15 LB's of boost in over a month, if I did I would no doubt be in a snow bank,LOL, we have had some crap weather this year, this is the kind of weather we had when I was a kid, and I'm talking 40 years ago. Lot's of fuel additive and real easy on the skinny pedal, thank god for that block warmer.
