It's time to play "Guess those seats!!"
When I bought my 52, it came with some "bucket" seats that were not original to the truck. The driver's seat is sitting on 4x4 attached to the floor and I bought brackets out of a K5 Blazer to attach the passenger seat. I have a pair of the correct Ford Panel seats that are next on the project list, but before I install them, I'd like to identify the current seats so I could sell them.
Both backs flip forward. The bottom of the seat is plywood. The PO told me that the seats may be out of a Chevy/GMC but he wasn't sure. I posted on the Stovebolt site and those guys aren't too sure.
Oh great minds of FTE, please help me identify the seats. You're my last hope!

The back does fold forward to about 45 degrees. Keep the guesses coming please.
EDIT: From what I remember, the PO and his son were into VWs as well, so maybe Ross is onto something. Gonna do more digging on the net.
EDIT 2: Googled images of VW Bus, Beetle, Bug seats and they don't match what I have. The quest for knowledge continues!

1972 and older blazers had a tilt forward passenger seat like that, there was a pin you had to pull on the back to let it tilt forward. I see a hole in the rear frame where the pin would fit into, other half of the bracket with the pin would of been attached to the floor. Not sure what year they started using the seats, I would guess 1967 but could be earlier. I had them in two different 1972 K5 blazers. If there is a plastic or metal seat shell on the backs of the seats under the covers then the original material may be underneath those generic looking covers.

The bottom of the seat is wood and has a metal bar still attached towards the rear that appears to be original. It suggests that the seat "clipped" or "snapped" into a bracket of some sort.
