Great job! Driving these old cars and trucks is what it is all about, nothing better than driving something you actually put together with your own hands.
Thanks all (even AYB)! I hadn't really set the deadline until late fall when I looked at it and figured if I just focused, I could get most of the things holding me up completed. The Superbowl anniversary seemed like a reasonable milemarker and attainable if I kept at it.
Ben, the seat is out of a Honda Passport/Isuzu Rodeo, with the base brackets off of a Chrysler minivan.
Still several things to go, but I will get to drive it in between working on them.
Thanks again for the support.
Heck, if I can do it, you all can get yours done in no time.
Now, get back into the garage/shop/driveway, and keep moving forward!!
Very nice! I hope to have the same feeling sometime in the near future. I thought I would have mine done over a year ago but work got in the way. Being self employed isn't always the greatest thing...
I am certainly no expert on disc kits, but shouldnt it be possible to flip those, using parts from right on the left and vice versa, so rhe calipers is faceing forward.
Outstanding, doesn't that feel great, that's not a question because I already know the answer, as I did mine myself (with step by step help from FTE members) minus kingpins just like you. You did a great job that you can be proud of. You have most definitely "ROCKED IT" my friend .
Congrats! The most important thing here is you worked with your son and together you taught him to reach a goal. Today many parents are not aware of the 3 top responsibilities of parenting, to protect, provide for, and to teach. You guys enjoy it and the road ahead.
