Mechanics Please help! Crank no start after fuel filter replacment!

Stated with a sluggish drive (weather went from very cold to very warm here in NJ) i figured condensation or bad gas....added Diesel 911, helped a bit till i got it home (truck wouldn't go over 40mph)....pulled fuel filter on frame rail A LOT of powdery silver metallic looking flakes spilled out....changed filter/drained h20 valve, then changed 2nd filter on top of motor.....Crank NO START what so ever....This is on F550 dump, NEEDED DESPERATEly on job site asap!

Any help appreciated!

NOTE: I cranked over motor and watched fuel bowl on top of motor fill with fuel, so im ruling out fuel pump?
Thanks! Matty

Have a look at this post https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post11418266, it might be worth a try. Based on the symptoms you're describing, it might be worth a look at the secondary filter to make sure it was installed correctly.

Hope this helps.

Lol magic fairy sprinkles, I think mattys main worry was getting the truck rolling down the road. I dont think you meant anything rude by that. Just trying to make sure he didnt just forget about it.
