Is there any actual benefit to the ribbed 08+ diesel cover vs the steel flat cover.

The ribbed aluminum cover keeps the diff oil cooler.

Good to know. I'm changing my diff fluid soon on my 08 and was thinking about getting one more because it looks nicer but hey if its functional too why not

That was my thinking when painting it. But I do want one in the tranny.

Thanks - I'm no artist so it will better when looking at it from 20 feet away than up close! lol But I didn't think Aluminum was part of the OPs question, just drain plug (which this doesn't meet either - lol).

I agree...i hate that big oil factory!!man..i always get a bath on them...akways.

My e4od will too.my tig is gonna install a bung...its worth the 2$ to install.so double double :-) :-)
