Spring Towers thru-mounted to engine mounts??

On my 79 f150, I am trying to replace my spring towers as one is pretty rusty. However, upon closer inspection, The bolts that hold it to the frame go through the frame (which is boxed here) and through a front motor mount. The truck has a 460 big block. How should I go about removing the towers?

Can i put a jack under the engine to hold it up while I undo the bolts and install the new towers?

If you have a cherry picker, just take the weight off of the engine and remove the towers. I don't know that I would trust a floor jack to not crush into the oil pan.

i've used a piece of plywood/2x4 many times to jack up the engine by the oil pan. just make sure it spreads the load out all the way past the edges.
