Herculiner is GARBAGE. It is just paint with grit in it.

if you are dead set on doing the truck in BED LINER (not some crap paint w grit) Look at AL's and U-pol . Both are a QUALITY 2 part liner that get Sprayed on

Then just get a gallon of rustolim and some sand to throw in it. Will be cheaper and the same thing

The fact that everyone here is trying to tell you to go with a spray-on rather than a roll-on is a pretty strong clue. At the very least, pick up a four-bottle kit of Raptor liner.

I think that would actually be a better option!

I already know that spray on is blbetter but I do not have the ability to use a air comoressor. Nor the extra money to buy one just to spray it on. I've had good luck in the past with roll on liner so imma give it a shot. Also would it be better to take it down to complete metal rather than sanding it down.

No need to sand at all, just roll it on. Don't forget to add the sand

I said that all wrong I do not have access to a air compressor. Haha very funny seriously is it better to take it down to bare metal then to ruff up the paint. Sarcasm is not appreciated.

If the factory paint is holding really good, then a good scuffing of it is all thats needed. As long as the new paint has something to bite into is what you want. Bare metal sometimes is not better than scuffed up paint(got to use primer on bare metal, more time and $$$)

I used that bedliner paint I got from wally world in a gallon can. I fixed any rusted areas 1st, then totaly wired wheeled down(sander broke) the firewall, pillers and flooring on the inside of my cab. Brushed it on, 6 years later, its holding up really good. Only areas that did not stick, were right under the seat where I did not wire wheel/sand the factory paint. It flaked up in probly a year.
