duraspark ii conversion

Carter yf conversion ( was carter yfafeedback ,then just a worn out yfa )

now here I am with trying to get the bugs out of this whole system ,

what are the adjustments for a carter yf 1974 carburetor brand new?

cause I have been trying to get a miss out of this engine since I got the darn thing have had little luck

 

Have you done a compression check? Vacuum leak check? Ignition component condition check? Heat riser/air cleaner damper/choke tube operation check? These things will contribute to a misfire more often than a carb adjustment, and all the adjusting in the world won't help if the basics aren't squared away first ~Bill

 

1. vacuum leak check none to be found

vacuum is 18-19hg and steady

2. compression no check don't have a gauge

ignition should be check ok it is all new and spark where and when it is suppose to
unles its the module ?

4. no damper heated air inlet to speak of ( previous owner butcher things) the air breather part any way , but the exhaust / intake spring damper heat riser thing is working

choke tube works got it working not long ago before winter
