That truck is so sexy!

 

I personally like when the 3 center lights are a little closer together than the outside lights.

 

Believe it or not my F350 did not come with cab lights! I always thought they did as part of the one ton package. So I purchased a set of OEM lights with harness on eBay and installed them as one of my first projects I did with my truck. I set them to the factory spacing and wired them with a relay so not to burn out the headlight switch. The end result looks great and looks factory installed.

 

Grr such a nice truck haha. Whats the factory spacing?

I have all the documentation from when the truck was new - Also have the 1978 Ford trucks Option and price list. The cab lights were a $35.00 option in 1978 with a dealer invoice cost of $27.30.

 

Previous owner put factory style replacements on. I converted the bulbs to LEDs.



One of these days I'll get the clear set from LMC so they match the front turn signals.

 

Wow! That is a clean looking truck! Did you paint the inside of the FORD letters in the front grill? Looks sharp!

I had them on a 73 F250 I had. I did not like them. So I have always had this dislike for them. Now on my 77 I don't seem to mind. Sure I wish they weren't there but since they are it isn't so bad. I believe in the "why cut a hole in a perfectly good roof?" line of thinking.... lol

 

Thanks. The previous owners painted the truck and did the hood letters that way.

 

here's mine, this is when I first put them on. I bought them from pep boys and wired them into the light switch. ive had them for a year and they still work good. I think cab lights add a nice touch

 

Resurrecting my old thread lol. Anyone else swap in super duty cab lights in the last 2 years?

I prefer the center 3 evenly spaced pointing forward & the outer lights splayed in the front corners.

 

There is no better look.. I have 4 trucks with cab lights
