kissed from behind today

on my way to check my trial cameras this jeep kissed me!!!

I was stopped for a school bus letting kids off after school and according to the truck driver behind me she never hit the brakes doing 65mph. he said when she hit me her back tires came off the ground! she is a little banged and shaken up and i thing the air bag busted her nose. I called 911 and she wanted to be taken off in an ambulance. so far i feel fine but i'll see if im sore in the morning.

so far i can tell it will need a L quarter pannel, R quarter pannel, tailgate, bumper, right tail light, hitch, muffler hanger bracket, spare tire carrier broke, and the spare tire is wedged between the hitch and the rear end. i was able to slowly drive home but will call the insurance in the AM and start getting this figured out.

Man that sucks. At least no one was seriously hurt. If you lived around me I could fix that up for you.

It will be interesting to see if you have any frame damage. Whatever happens, I hope they treat you fairly without any hassle.

Ouch! Glad you (and the other driver) are ok. No telling how far through the truck the damage goes, she may be hurt worse than you think. .

Not sure if it's a regional thing but I was doing some financial fidgeting about 3 months ago. I was at the credit union and they had the value of my truck (in my sig -same as yours) pegged at $22k. The loan officer looked out the window and asked "is that a King Ranch"? I said yes and she went back to the computer and the value went up to $28k. (It was previously listed as an XLT Lariat) She was trying to talk me into borrowing more than I had planned so maybe she fudged it a bit. I don't know about $6k but the KR does make a significant difference in the loan value. Just thought I'd post these fairly recent numbers from LA (Lower Alabama) for comparison.

I can give you a recommendation for a very high quality repair guy if you're northeast of Little Rock. He's an independent but his work is VERY good and he's been doing it for a LONG LONG time. The insurance companies know and respect his work.

Wow. I hope you are ok. But I have to be honest that picture with that old fire engine looks like the fire truck at our Christmas parade. Plus laurel and hardy standing by made me laugh. Not sure they helped but ,at least volunteers are there when needed.

that's a little more than being kissed I think! The kiss usually comes AFTER something like that!

...and the Prius crowd sez large vehicles are no advantage in an accident

Soooooo sorry about that. Seems like it's always someone else that screws up the nice things you worked so long and hard for.

I agree more than just a kiss. Glad your and the pup are OK

Is that the Dog carrier we see over the gate?

Ask Anthony about getting that type of kiss. He did this last year.
Check the rear springs, hangers and axel locator pins.

Being in a heavy truck is may be why you not hurt.
