Dont want to keep replacing parts!!!!! HELP!! FTE your my only HOPE NOW!!!

2005 F550 6.0 powerstroke 265000 km's

Truck came in with a low power miss shudder issue..
Made the normal tests..
FICM at 48 volts constant
13-4-14V charging
Fuel PSI good at 50+PSI

Pulled IPR found damaged screen and metal...
Replaced HPOP with STC upgrade
Replaced IPR
Replaced Pass side Standpipe and Dummy plug
New oil filter (Had tall lid, dry starts an issue) Factory lid installed

HPO PSI at 600-780 at idle (3800-4300 accellerating)
IPR 23-25% at idle
Fuel PSI still at 50+PSI even at WOT
Boost levels good for the most part

MAP BARO EBP all within spec at KOEO

Truck has bad contribution issues at idle
#1,#7 read -83 and lower
all other cylinders on right bank all are from -1 to -5
left bank is hit and miss

Get past 1000 rpm and all contribution issues clear up

truck shakes and shudders at idle, and just seems lazy driving down the road, Hard pressed to get it to 110km/h but seems to make boost as normal (no boost leaks either)

just seems like the Motor is not behind the boost if that makes any sense...
IF your hold brake and hit throttle WOT truck shakes and shudders and will not make any boost or power at all...

Any ideas on what may be the problem with this unit, only codes i get are contribution for 1 and 7 and egr performance (unplugged)...

$2000 from deallership for parts and gaskets and seals so far, dont want to toss more into it without figuring something else out as a probable cause..

COULD (this is a long shot) there be a possibility that metal got past the HPOP into the HPO rails and jamming up the plungers in the injectors???

I though of puling VC's and swapping injectors hole to hole to see if contribution moves with the cylinder (checked whole harness for chaffing and no signs of it)

Also possible that the LOGIC side of FICM is gone bad??? Ive heard of this but usually this a complete NO START, not a poor performance issue...

Ive exhausted every other option don't know where else to go with it... HELP!!!!!!!!!! FTE your my only hope now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you could also try cleaning up the MAP nipple connection to Intake and IAT2

All tests came up normal like you have stated

Done and done... even pulled sensors from a known god running truck and swapped over, still no good action out of it

Couple issues,,, what brought you to conclude to replace the hpop??? Rather than just the fitting? That pump would've paid for the two injectors.

FYI,, we have a bunch of dealer techs on here and the "stealership" phrase will definitely not get you the responses from them. They are people trying to make a living just like us.

Truck had Low pressures on the HPOP side in the beginning of the whole diagnosis process, under 1800 @ wot

I mean no insults or anything like that with that comment, and for who it affects negatively I am sorry..

Its just tough to justify how much parts and products cost to purchase compared to how much they cost to make...

There is now way in my opinion that a HPOP would cost $1400..

Sorry

Also when removing the HPOP the old STC fitting was worn and pulsing against the rear plate of the motor.. the metal blocking the screen and the tear in the screen, as well as LOW HPO led me to the conclusion that the HPOP was failing

contribution was bad all across both banks, just those two injectors were the worst ONLY at idle.. contribution driving was good across all cylinders..

You can try swapping injectors from hole to hole but I think you need two injectors. You could also try polishing the spool valves to see if that helps the two offenders.

One of Benny's sayings comes to mind,
" Ya can't make Boost in the Driveway".
It's Injector time.

Did you pull the EGR valve to make sure it was clean and not hanging open?

Dumb question here... Did you happen to check fuel filter? Fuel pressure?

I saw that you replaced the oil filter cap with an OEM cap, was the filter OEM?

U could check the FICM has the harness plugged in all the way, one of the three plugs may not be plugged in all the way, Also both stand pipes and dummies should be changed.
If #1 and 7 are still not putting out pull injectors and re seal and perhaps a striction issue.

I think your dry start helped damage a couple of injectors. Do nothing else until the offending injectors are inspected or replaced.

The hpop you pulled likely has another 200 km in it.
