Dam, what engine you using? If you go to Ford Y, John Mummert mods bells to use. My research tells me it's the best way to do it, though not the cheapest. If you need a 223, 3 speed bell I got one I won't be using and you could use it for a core at John's place

I got a 223 in front of my T5. You can modify bell yourself if you can weld. I called Mummerts and he is very helpful and answered a lot of my questions. He says you gotta use car clutch set up. Also gotta modify through out bearing shaft to use truck TO bearing. I used truck clutch pressure plate and put a sleve in the bearing shaft it worked fine. Don't forget disc to match spline shaft and diameter for trans. I did however use the tail shaft from a S10 trans and the trans was from a mustang. I bought 2 transmissions and took parts from s10 trans and swapped to the mustang. Then sold the left over on craigslist. Got it all together and found trans needed to be rebuilt. All good now.

As Charlie said anything is possible with adapters and fabrication. The one near certainty is you will end up heading down a time consuming rabbit hole chasing donors, and the cost will be 3X your original budget. When I was about 20yrs old I remember my father (who was not a mechanic) saying. "I see you are putting the wrong motor in another car boy. You just don't learn do you?"

He wasn't wrong. If you don't have a clear blueprint tested by many that have done the exact swap before you, it's just a chain reaction of seemingly endless mods to make it work.

Some members claim the T5 is a little too light duty for truck application but I think its completely how you use it. If your doing normal driving and have a stock-ish engine putting out <150HP (very few people still use these trucks for heavy loads anymore) I don’t see how the transmission is too light duty.
