On bottom of case by pan it has a 2 with 38 directly under it
It has metric fird and a s on the bottom of pan its a 14 bolt pan
On passenger side side front it has on a little plate PKF-BD F8SP-7000 065329 R8 ..
Please if knows what this means I would .appreciate the help. Ty

U means 4R70W. And 14 bolts means 4R70W. I think you have a 4R70W. That is a common trans. The plants that built these transmissions were building more than a million of them a year!
Having no forward gears means something mechanical broke inside the transmission. It MUST come out and be replaced or rebuilt for this truck to move on it's own again. There is nothing easy that can cause no forward but reverse works.

Thank you Mark.... I contacted a company in minnasota that does trannies and for mine with torque converter included the cost is 995 which I don't think that's bad at all. The local shop said 1400-1700 and I would do the r&r so I might as well remove the old and just put in a remaned one that has all of the upgrades with a 3 year waranty. Again thank you so much
