C6 tranny swap from 89-68

I have a 1968 F250with a 400 and a FMX tranny, the tranny is slipping and i dont want to rebuild the FMX. I have a chance at a C6 from a 1989 F250 2wd. Will it bolt up to my 400? Please help. Dan

No. The 400 has the same bolt pattern as a 460. 351C has the same bolt pattern as a small block Ford. Measure the distances between the top two bolts on the bellhousing.

Ford quit the 351M-400 in 1981 so if the 89 has a 460 in it your good.
