tranny swap

i have a 1978 truck with a 460 and a c6 bolted up to the back. and its been over heating due to the tranny.what i need to know is if a c6 from a 351 will bolt to my 460 without any real problems. i need this truck fixed quick so i can go back to work.so i can wait for a rebuild.

The tranny from a 351m or 400 should bolt right up. Pretty sure 351 windsor and 351 cleveland had the smaller bellhousing pattern.

that is correct 351m/400 will
351c/351w will not

cool.it is a 351m the c6 is on. so i'll get it and i'll be good to go. thanks guys
