Acceleration/power issues in my 6.0
Hi everyone. I have the dreaded 2003 F-350 with the 6.0 engine. In the recent past I have had power issues on hard acceleration. The engine goes up to about 3000 RPM in each gear. It seems to hang there too long, blows blue fuel smelling smoke and then shifts hard to the next gear where it starts all over again. In the past year or so I've had to or decided to replace the ICP sensor, FICM, Oil/fuel/air filter, changed the oil, I most recently replaced the Turbo, EGR valve and MAP sensor/Sensor hose. I don't hear the turbo whine at all. I have checked for codes and got P132B (turbo boost control A performance), and P2263 (Turbo/supercharger boost system performance) I have verified VREF at 4.98 volts to the map sensor and have checked for continuity between the map sensor and the PCM. All checks good. The MAP sensor I replaced twice as I thought I might have gotten a bad part. The strange thing is I have discovered if I disconnect the plug from the MAP sensor, the truck runs much better and I get turbo response. Any ideas as I'm lost now? Thanks for your time!

From the P2263 and 2 map sensors I'm thinking clogged nipple.
No, it doesn't use an EBP sensor it uses an inferred value

I replaced the MAP hose and clamps. I also cleaned the nipple to the manifold. I inserted safety wire into the nipple and it had no obstruction. I also Sprayed it out with intake cleaner. A friend of mine has an expensive scan tool and he pulled the codes for me. I've done some reading on putting a pressure gage in line with the MAP sensor. I'm curious if there's not obstruction in the obvious places if there could be a larger obstruction in the manifold… Or am I chasing my tail and looking in the wrong direction?
